·         Research, write, proofread and edit new and existing technical online documentation for complex client/server software applications  

·         Analyze the needs of the target audience, study data, use functional and technical specifications provided by Software Architects and Developers.

·         Design, create, and integrate illustrations and graphics based on MS Visio to be included in the documentation for illustration purposes.

·         Deliver outstanding documentation in English that is comprehensive, accurate, and efficient to use in accordance with all applicable documentation standards and style guides.

·         Work with the colleagues of the Documentation team to ensure that all documentation products meet company standards for consistency, usability, and technical accuracy.

·         As contact person for localization projects, export text to be translated at project start, answer inquiries during the project and re-import translated text at project end.

·         As a technical writer with localization tasks, check localized shipments for new translatable entries and translate them or contact translation agency.

 technical skills

·         A degree in Technical Communication or three years of experience in the field.

·         Excellent technical writing and language skills with fluent German and English. Other languages such as Arabic, French, or Portuguese are a plus.

·         Solid skills in interviewing, information gathering, and information organization. 

·         Basic understanding of the telecommunications industry and software. Basic knowledge of Oracle, UNIX and Java is a plus.

·         Proficiency with XML editors. Experience with a Content Management System is a plus.
